Extractor hood filters

Does anyone have any ideas how to clean the grease deposits that have built up on and in the metal remeovable filters on the kitchen extractor fan. We have tried cilit bang and boiling water and we dont have a dish washer. Thanks

Try a strong sugar soap solution..
if its just grease, just soak for 15 mins it in a strong really hot solution of Fairy liquid and then scrub it with a brush.
I use jizer, just dab on leave for a while then wipe off.
