I use the internet all the time for buying, have not had one problem yet. Follow the padlock advice and make a note of invoice numbers and the date of purchase and you should be fine. The way I go about it is, if it has the padlock and its a known company and the site looks ok then I buy from it. I am a little warier on companies I dont know - then I use a credit card as it has insurance on it for fraud etc... But companies such as Topshop etc... should be perfectly fine.

Yes Topshop is fine, I have ordered from them many times with no problem with the card (delivery though can be another matter!)
