I might sound like a cheap skate, but my son starts high school this term, and as we are not that well of, and its just cost us 100 + for his uniform, my son is forever losing parts of his uniform, our biggest expense was his blazer 30 with the school badge attatched, I know I can buy the exact same blazer fron George of Asda for 9, my question is does anyone know where i can buy the badge or patch to sew on, if i can buy this I will save over 50% on his blazer if I should ever need to replace it, the school in question is ST THOMAS MORE RC COLLEGE IN DENTON TAMESIDE MANCHESTER, The school and the shop wont let me know where to buy it for obvious reason's, thanx for your help and answers

If you have had to buy the expensive blazer, when it is outgrown, keep the badge and sew it on the George jacket. At least it might cut down on future expense. Another thought - does the school have a second hand shop for uniform?

thank you ellied i tought of that which i will do, but im concerned about him losin it before hand or it being stolen which has happened in the past, good idea thanx
Give the school office a phone, I'm sure they'll be able to tell you where you can get them.
I remember when I was wee, going with my mum to a shop to get school ties and the like, it was a mens clothes shop but it stocked all the school stuff for the area, you probably have a shop like that near you. Other friends remember going to shops like this, they were usually called 'Mansworld' or something, and I remember thinking it terrible that I had to get things from a guys clothes shop!
But first stop I would say should be the school office!
Good luck!
Sorry, I just read your post properly there, they won't tell you, that's shocking, I can't believe that!
Sorry, if I think of anything more helpfull, I'll get back to you!
I used to work in a school uniform shop and it may well be that the badge isn't even sold separately, to force parents to buy the certain brand of blazer. It means that all the kids have the same shade of black/brown/navy blazer! So silly but true! Good luck in your search xx
