Hi emmabee123, I have and I found it very helpful. First of all they ask you what you are looking for. Then they go off and bring you back lots of lovely things to look at or try on, until you find the right thing, they will also help you to accesorize. Basically, they just run round the store for you, so you don't have to, and it's a free service!
I was given this as part of one of those Days out things (eg Red Letter days). It was OK. The personal shopper will ask what you're looking for and make recommendations. I had to go around the shop with my personal shopper whilst she picked things out. It was like having an honest friend who knew the shop inside out. There's the benefit of trying on as much as you want, in your own time, in your own changing room with someone giving their honest opinion. A nice day, but not sure I'd pay for it myself unless I had a tonne of money to spend.
I use the personal shopper service at House of Fraser loads - it's fabulous (and free!!) - the staff are not at all pushy and happy to go back and forth into the store for you helping you to put together the right outfit. They have such a good knowledge of what's in the store and are specially trained so they really listen to your needs as well as giving you suggestions for what might look best on your particular body shape. http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/ has more info (I see from the website that they're launching an online shop!). Of course there's always gift personal shopping days (like the red letter one the other lady mentions). These usually cost quite a bit but you get extra stuff thrown in like a make-over and vouchers to spend in-store.
