I am having trouble thinking of original gifts to buy for my bridesmaids and the groomsmen. We are getting married abroad so the presents cant be big or heavy.

Can anybody suggest some ideas or tell me what you bought your bridesmaids/groomsmen when you got married.

I have checked out lots of gift sites but they all have the same old things on.

Thanks

Groomsmen ?? Have I lost touch ? How about a smart leather travel clock or does that come under 'same old things' ?

Thats a lovely idea but they are all between 21 and 26 and I dont think they would really use it.

I have two flower girls as well aged 4 and 6, any ideas????

I was bridesmaid for my brother 2 years ago and they had 5 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, 2 flowergirls, 3 ushers and a ringbearer. I know it sounds like a big wedding but they did it on a budget and left themselves in serious debt. There were too many in the family to leave out. They bought the bridesmaids and flowergirls silver chains with their initial for the pendant, they were beautiful and not too expensive. They bought all the men bottles of drink and although it would've been nice to have a keepsake, this turned out to be the best solution as they were all over the moon. The younger children were bought toys. You could get the drink abroad and therefore not have to bring it and necklaces are small. Hope this helps and congratulations and good luck for your big day! :-)

Thank you very much, that is a massive help. I think I will get the girls necklaces The drink is a brilliant idea, I know they would all prefer that to something they wont use!

Why not buy the bridesmaids necklaces to be worn on your day (killing 2 birds with one stone!) also their are lots of collectables which feature bridesmaids, such as cherished teddies, pocket dragons etc. You could always give them vouchers?

why not give the men cufflinks, again these can be worn on the day, or vouchers for a fun experience such as paintballing.

Have you checked out www.formybridesmaids.com they have beautiful necklaces and jewelry sets and you can design your gift by choosing your style, color and gold or silver accents. I think the prices are very good too.
