My colleague has moved home and has invited me to his housewarming party.  However, it's 30 miles from where I live, so won't be able to make it.  I'd like to give a gift instead.

Can you recommend any, please?  He's a cooking enthusiast.

You've not indicated your budget, Treacle71, but after looking through this lot

this might be what I'd go for

No more than £5-£10, Buenchico.  Thank you for the links 😉

You are not going to get much for £5-£10 but not on the high street has a special offer on slate cheese boards personalised £35 down to £10.50 plus postage

There is a nice tradition in Germany of giving bread and salt to new home owners. These two foods were/are said to provide protection from evil spells, curses and the devil himself !            So today, this traditional gift stands for a positive future in the new home.

Something from the Deli, like a gift set of salad dressing and cider vinegar.

A half-decent bottle of wine.

Some really good olive oil - almost a luxury now it's about doubled in price!
