The last week in November I was talking to a good friend about what to get Youngsmow for Xmas. He knew what football team he was mad about & sent me a link to a specific football shirt on a certain website. I clicked link, went straight thru to website, shirt, description etc etc. was perfect. Filled in payment details, money came out of bank within 2 days. Have never received shirt.
On looking closer it seems it’s a U.S. company which I hadn’t realised but should have still arrived. I’ve looked and have emailed them, have filled in their CONTACT US details several times - nothing. I never even got an email confirming my order so I don’t have an order number.
Am happy to name company if anyone knows anything about them??
But does anyone any bright ideas or just write it off as a bad experience?? X

Smow, they are probably closed for the holidays , I’m always care of these sites, have you put their name in Trustpilot ?
Can you contact the website?
* careful
Question Author
I can’t find them on Trustpilot but he has looked the other day online and says he has found some unfavourable reviews and feels awful now(not his fault obv)
Question Author
No phone number on website, just email address.
I think you have to write it off as a bad experience. But it has made you more careful which is good. Xx

Can I name them on here? Just for someone else to take a look at the site and see if I’m missing anything??
//Can I name them on here?//
I don't see why not, Amazon and E-Bay get quite a few mentions.

Ok, it’s a U.S. company and the website is :

www.zuztpick.com

Thanks guys x
Anything from the US has to clear customs in the UK. If it was posted by mail it will be received by post office/Royal Mail and you should receive notice for this. You could also put in a claim with credit/debit card company. Your bank statement will show details that the bank can follow up on
It'll be sitting with UK customs waiting to be assessed for as much as they can screw out of you in duty etc.

There's a phone number at the bottom of their website.
Question Author
Sooooo, there is an inkling of a chance that it might turn up??
Did you check your email spam folder for emails from them?
How did you pay? You say that the money ‘came out of the bank’ within two days. If, for example, you paid by credit card or PayPal, there’s a good chance of being refunded. Debit card, less so but not impossible.
Question Author
Nothing in spam mail….

Paid with card details and checked online banking a couple of days later and they had taken the money - it says the amount and payment to their website .
I’ve also found a phone no in the FAQs section of their website:
1-5169365043
Was the card you used a credit card or debit card and how much did they charge you.
Question Author
A debit card. And they’ve taken £29.51
For this amount of money, it’s probably not worth the letter writing and form-filling involved in trying to make a chargeback.

In any case, the bank would probably expect you to wait several weeks before initiating a chargeback given the Christmas post situation. These days you could also easily find yourself being charged nearly as much again in fees and customs charges if it does turn up.
