I was in a huge Tesco at &.15 this morning actually enjoying doing my shopping mask-free. Nobody gave me a dirty look nor suggested that I should have a rag round my face. There were quite a few Tesco employees doing the "picking" for online orders - none of them was wearing a mask. The middle-aged lady on my checkout was also mask-free and we agreed how wonderful it was to be able to exchange smiles. Enough said.

I thoroughly enjoyed not wearing mine at Asda yesterday. Plenty weren't, including staff.
Obviously wasn't the Tesco store in Burnley where masks are still the norm.
By the way, what time is &.15?
What did you expect. Best to wait a month or so thougho see infection and hospital and death rate's before deciding whether the 'freedom' was worth it
Had a text from my GP's surgery that wearing masks and social distancing will still apply there.
Had same text yesterday, Danny.
/// how wonderful it was to be able to exchange smiles.///

. . . and to exchange viruses.
The freedom is worth it, whatever.
Ken, from the Ridge?
Gawd...it would be sooo nice to have mask-free threads on AB. Not a day goes past...
Freedom? Just how long does it take you lot to do your shopping? Masks were made compulsory approx 12 months back. You not got used to wearing them for a half hour every now and then?

Sorry - the time should have read 7.15! Canary - exchanging viruses?? Really with 2 fully-jabbed people with a perspex screen between us. If the virus was that agile, feeble cloth masks would not have helped.
You'd be shocked if i said answered 'yes', Danny. I'll take it you had forgotten the smiley face and wasn't being sarcastic. :-))
Aww, come on Pasta. We were all worried that once Brexit was sorted, we'd have nothing to talk about on AB. Then along comes the Coronavirus to the rescue. :-J
No, it was a genuine question.Just seemed a coincidence that the same text came to both of us on the same day.

No Ken - 12 months has not persuaded me that steamed up glasses and feeling breathless is a great way to spend my time.
^ that to Ken^
Received mine at 18;32 yesterday, Danny. Probably all GP's practices sending them out.
Seems logical Ken.
I apologise Ken for being a party pooper...:(
