Looked online for new bed and found one that looked ok at Bensons for beds. Noted price and that it had £200 off it. Before buying we decided to go instore and try it out. Found the bed we wanted in the store and it too had the £200 off but it was still £200 more that the same one online. I know that sometimes things are cheaper online from the same retailer but £200 I think that is taking the p---. They wonder why stores are closing. I can see why when things like this are going on. Needless to say we came back home and bought online.

I totally agree with you, i would have done the same.

Did you ask them to match the online price? Sometimes they will do it sometimes not but i always ask, if they say no, then i just say fine, I'll just sit outside in the car and order it online!

They were trying to get us to have a much more expensive one but we had made our minds up after trying the one we looked at online and they already said that it had £200 off it and that was good price for that bed. As you say some firms do match online prices but it didn't seem like they wanted to. I have done what you did before when booking holiday and they told me it was up to the manager. I said that if he couldn't match it I would go online and book it for the price I had seen there. He did match that time.
