My friend in Australia desperately wants a copy of "The Slipper and The Rose". I understand that we are "Region 2" and Australia is "Region 4", so I presume that if I buy a copy of the DVD here it won't play in Australia. I have looked at various sites - in Australia - and just can't find this film otherwise I would have ordered it over the Internet for her direct from Australia. Any ideas anyone?

Hello. If your friend has a region free dvd player in Australia then any dvd will play on it whether it's region 1, 2 etc. However somebody is selling a region 4 dvd of the film you are after on Ebay. If you're not already a member of Ebay it' s easy to register. You have to register before you can bid on items. Hope this helps.

Many thanks for your answer. I have now found the one Australian DVD you mentioned on Ebay. I didn't realise that some DVD players can play different Regions so maybe my friend has one of those - I will ask her and if not, I will put a bid on the DVD mentioned. Thanks once again.
