I like cotton jersey shorts and am having difficulty finding some to replace the ones I currently have which are about to fall apart.
I'd prefer to buy them from a shop where I could try them on rather than an online place.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Haven’t been in myself but it sounds like the kind of thing you might find in Cotton Traders.

I know it’s not a High St store but Lands End used to do jersey shorts.
Most sports shops should stock them.

I went shorts shopping recently. The choice is dismal this year.

Ooh, sorry girlies, only just remembered about this, thanks for your answers.
The sport shop ones are too sporty, I'm looking for something a bit more feminine. They also tend to be too short for me, I like them to come about four inches above my knee and as I'm fairly tall and have long legs they just don't work.
Had a look at cotton traders and lands end to, nothing really suitable.
Looks like it's me in me knickers then....

No Margo, they're linen ones, I much prefer the cotton jersey type, much more comfy. But thanks anyway :)
Why not use the old ones as a pattern for making new ones?
I did that years ago - its a bit time consuming unpicking but you get exactly what you want and you can keep the pattern to make more later

Ha, I can't sew, knit, crochet, or do anything remotely like that Islay, I had a mum and sister who excelled at it so never needed to.
This is the woman who sent her boys to school with the hems of their long trousers stapled up...
Are you volunteering?? :)

Any dressmakers advertising in your local paper?

Trust me chilli, not a sight for the faint hearted...

Hadn't thought of that Islay, may look into it

Aww, thanks Margo. I really need to try them on in a shop though, I don't really like buying online as I've had a fair few disasters and hate parcelling stuff up to send back.

I wear shorts when I am wearing a skirt. The jersey shorts seem to have vanished. The only option would be to buy leggings and staple up the hems.
