Why do so many people want to dress like nonentity, so-called 'celebrities?

I'd realy like to understand the mindset of people who post on this site wanting to know where they can buy an item last seen worn by some tacky 'celeb'. What is the attraction? Why do people want to do that? Do they distrust their own taste so much that they have to slavishly copy someone else or is there more to it than that? Me, I'd rather scoop out my heart with a blunt teaspoon that even consider wearing a dress/pair of shoes/handbag worn by the likes of someone common who's famous for doing nothing much except being blond or having a large chest or a famous boyfriend. To be honest , 90% of the people on here looking for an item they have seen on a celeb are not looking to emulate them completely. They have simply seen an item they thought looked nice and they would like to wear it themself. I have not seen one person asking for several items that one particular 'celeb' wears , it's more of once in a while spotting something that IS to their own taste, it's simply been worn by a celebrity first :)
im sure iv answered a question of yours b4 asking where an item of clothings from worn by a 'CELEB!!'
You mean you don't to look like Danielle Lloyd / Grace from Big Brother / some other no-mark?

What's WRONG with you?????
I agree with anneboleyn - you see something you like, you want it. You're not necessarily trying to dress just like someone else.

When you buy a new top and then see a "celeb" wearing it, would you never wear it again Kim A?

Carly - no, you haven't. Ever.
Shineybomb - unlikely to buy the kind of top a 'celebrity' would wear (i.e too tight, too shiny, too tarty or too small), but yes, I would stop wearing it, especially if I'd seen it being worn by someone I particularly dislike.
Annb- sensible answer. I liked it.
Cheekychops - I think you and me are singing off the same hymnsheet, sweet!
thanks all!
if you really liked the top/clothing why stop wearing it just becos someone else is wearing it- thats so stupid!??!!
That sounds more shallow than wanting a top seen on a celebrity!

You better have a sort through your wardrobe and throw away anything someone on TV has ever worn. Good luck!
Ermm not all celebrities wear tight shiny tarty or small tops.
Your just shallow and sterotypical.
What exactly are you doing on these pages called 'celebrity style' in the first place!
