I'm not sure where this goes, but I figured if you're good at science, usually you're pretty good at math so...anyways I have three problems that I am stuck on and cannot remember at all how to do.

x^4 over 4 divided by x^3 over 20

and then inequalities...
I have to solve and then graph for this
2x + 4y < 1

Last
The formula k = 1\2 mv^2 relates the kinetic energy of a body to its mass m and speed v. Solve the formula for m.

Thank you guys so much for your help!

The first is easy. First, write x^4/4 out, the x^4 above the 4.

Now, diving is the inverse of multiplying. With fractions, this means that diving by x^3/20 is the same as multiplying by 20/x^3.

If you do this (when multiplying fractions, you just join the tops and bottoms together, and multiply like normal), then you'll see that 20/4 is 5. Diving x^4 by x^3 is simply x (the powers cancel out).

This gives you an answer of 5x.

Make sense?
Last:

Multiply both sides of the equation by 2. This will cancel the half in there.

2k = mv^2

Now divide both sides by v^2.

2k / v^2 = m

Solved!

(I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the middle one.)
You're making it all up now, you got to be, I haven't a clue what you're talking about!
you can treat the inequality like an equation

subtract 2x from both sides and divide by 4 to get something that looks like

y< -ax +b

then draw the line y= -ax +b and decide which side of the line to shade
