If the British voters made the other decision ... nothing much would have happened. If the Ukrainian people make the wrong decision ... they will die, their families will die, their children will die. They will die in the most horrific way. To try to score Brexity points by making any comparison between the decisions facing these two groups of people is a...

Don't you remember his predecessor saying 'Brexit means invasion'?

He is so stupid. A laughing stock in Europe .
Guardianista horse shot; Donald Tusk, & Guy Verhofstadt, vent their "fury", - Yawn.
That's not an insult to Ukrainians. He's praising their fortitude and resolve. As he says they are not hostile to foreigners, they don't think they're better off making accommodations with tyranny, and they do want to be free to do things differently and for their country to be able to run itself.

Whilst I realise that this is an opportunity to Boris-bash, maggiebee, as an avid Scottish Nationalist, I would have thought that you of all people would understand the point of principle he's making - because that's what he's doing. If you don't perhaps you should read it again and try harder.
The same message to you, anneasquith.
It was idiotic and divisive but I prefer to stay united regardless.
Goodness, Central Office working on the weekend, must have been expecting trouble. :-)
//It was idiotic and divisive //

Only to those ever ready to pounce, Ich.
The PM is right to compare the Brexit vote with the situation in Ukraine. I well remember having to dodge the bombs and the falling debris when i went to cast my vote on the referendum:-/
Lol @ Ken .
It’s idiotic because he’s managed to compare a situation where 99.9% of us agree with one which splits the country more or less down the middle
Ken, //The PM is right to compare the Brexit vote with the situation in Ukraine. //

He hasn't compared the Brexit vote to the situation in Ukraine. He's talking about the resolve of the people - and praising it.
sounds like a huge compliment to the Ukrainians to me.
Ich, for goodness sake! He's not talking numbers. He's talking principle. Hoe difficult can that be to understand?
Who oddly enough would like to join the EU (!)
It’s not that he has no morals. And I don’t doubt his good will.
It’s just daft

But like I say other than reflecting that it’s hardly a way to unite people here , it’ll make no difference to Ukraine other than maybe cause some bafflement.

So we should move on
Ich, it's not about the EU. It's about the resolve of the people to determine their country's future. I'm not surprised some here won't acknowledge that, but I'd be really surprised if you genuinely can't understand it.

Heavens above, an onslaught. :-)
