You are an Olympic Gold Medal winning boxer and an Irish hero - you are on the Late Late Show because of that - but it's St Patrick's day, so you are asked to 'give us a song' - and you don't miss a beat ... goosebumps moment

Ye Gods!
That was lovely...thank you Dave.
She's not a bad singer ;)
Good grief! She has to be drunk!!!
Why^^^???
And if she is, does it matter?
"She has to be drunk!!!"

How?
It’s awful!!!
I'm Welsh but i love the Irish songs.
One of my favourites is
The Fields of Athenry
goosebumps in a good way or goosebumps in a bad way ?
this is what it's like to be Irish... You are an Olympic Gold Medal winning boxer and an Irish hero - you are on the Late Late Show because ...You were Grand Marshall on the Dublin St Patrick's day Parade and the Grand Marshall always ends up on the Late Late show later on the night - if it was someone else they would have been on and not Kellie - other than that, she is from inner city Dublin, works hard as a cleaner in a psychiatric hospital and doesn't drink, spirits were high because she was so happy with the day that was in it, the only people I seen getting sozzled yesterday were non Irish - on tv and out and about. it was not a singing competition, it was just craic and maybe ye didn't like it and think it was awful but she wasn't being judged. I thought it was lovely because she has the right accent for it, because it is a love song to Grace Gifford who married James Plunkett the night before he faced a firing squad in Kilmainham Gaol. If she was drunk it was on protein milk
Contrary to belief, we don't have to be sozzled to enjoy ourselves

Thanks ducksie - I thought it was brilliant - and not in an ironic or condescending way - just plain wonderful.
it was Irish craic and banter, you either get it or ya don't :)
I got it!
Good on you Tilly :)
Of course you do, Tilly I'd never doubt it....and Ducksie also but why wouldn't she!
Kellie was brilliant. A wonderful, kind and articulate lass... just read Ducksie's post.
John C. Reilly was great too. He'll be down in the village in the next few days for lobster and Guinness....I'd buy him a pint any day... ;-)

Drunk? Posting that with no knowledge of the girl? I see Corby's question wasn't answered.... :-)
I'm fully aware of what it's like to be Irish it's my stepfathers birthday today (Since I was two) born a day later than expected I can't think of his name hmmm.
I think being Irish is quite like being Scottish, just slightly warmer and a lot wetter. :-)

Some miserable *** about eh?
Rhymes with luggers.
Hmmmm indeed, Arky! I have a shed load of cousins named Patrick who were born, by hopeful design and much effort and prayers, around Paddy's Day but just missed it.
Annoys the life out of them when Dave was born on Paddy's Day and they named him....David! They're happy to celebrate with him though.

Not surprised you're aware of what it means to be Irish...that comes across well even just on AB....x
I'm not always a drunken muppet on here ;-)
Indeed, Dougie...but it's become a bit of a love-in duet of late on AB.
