I hve not yet but would would like to see a convincing UFO to find out if they are real. There is so much evidence of sightings and odd occurrencies that make them a possibility. Have you seen one ?. Or what do you think ?.

Yeah Dave I really do think it’s highly likely. (Even tho I’ve never seen a “ufo” of any description Humans have tentatively “explored” (I used the term loosely) a mere fraction of the cosmos. We’ve no idea what else is out there. I just find it feasible that there’s other life forms out there too.

DD; why do you end with a "Nah"?
Unsupported views are a bit of a waste of time, aren't they? I mean, what is there to discuss if you know it all already without any explanation of why?
I don't think there's any question that there's life elsewhere in the universe.

I doubt that any of the UFO sightings are visiting aliens though.
eve, 19:41.
It's good to have an open mind without being gullible. I've always been fascinated by the possibilities of what is behind everything. When I was young I decided that atoms could be miniature solar systems and that there would be numerous layers of scale, maybe infinitely larger and smaller than our world; I learned later that thiat was not an original idea and was not supported by physics as we knew it. But we do need to think such things; that's how we may find closer approximations to ultimate truth.
/Alien life form - highly possibly//

Eve - you really think that? All these years of supposed sightings, manned travel to the moon, robot explorers to other planets, multiple satellites orbiting & no actual contact.

Aliens - probably. In a form we would recognise - maybe not. Here - definitely not.
Atheist - the OP is asking for an opinion, which I’ve given.

And that should “they” choose they may want a little excursion to check us out. Much like humans check out animals in a zoo!

Our dabbles in the local pond of this solar system are like tadpoles in their pond; they know nothing of possible life in other ponds or other oceans.
It is possible that there are intelligent beings far ahead of us technologically. I suspect that it is very likely. Of course, there is the difficulty (as we perceive it) of overcoming the problems of distance and time between us, but it is conceivable that their everday notions are well in advance of ours.
Eve, I'm sure there are aliens. I just don't think they've been here.
If they'd taken all the trouble to actually get here, I think they'd be doing more than buzzing around in the atmosphere in strange craft that can never be filmed very well.
There are some interesting documentaries. Try Phoenix lights, and Belgian Triangles. Both have multiple witness interviews, including numerous members of the public, the Governor of Phoenix, Belgian police and airforce officers.
There are too many sightings by reputable people, like pilots, to discount at least the possibility.
What's the chance of any form of life from another planet having evolved at a similar rate to us and being able to produce such things as spacecraft - and if they were far advanced of us wouldn't they have visited us by now? You only have to look at what forms in a pool of water after a few days to know that life forms emerge so its very likely some form of life exists in many other places.
// 1) Google the Drake Equation, which next to proves that the mathematical probability of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe is so high that the idea that there isn't really isn't worth considering. //

If you'd google the Drake equation then you'd realise that it does no such thing. It merely quantifies the nature of the problem, ie sets up (at least some of) the questions that will need answering in order to ascertain the probability of alien life. There isn't a single one of the parameters in the Drake equation that is known well enough to in any sense "prove" anything.

This isn't to say that there is no alien life, or even that there isn't lots of it, but there is certainly no "proof" to be found, one way or the other, in the Drake Equation.
Klaatu barada nikto, to you.
I have posted my favourite quote on the subject many times:

“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.”

Arthur C. Clarke

I know about the DRAKE equation etc. and read many books and seen many documentaries on the subject... I know what I (we) saw and no explanation as presented itself.

As for being visited (Hoaxers aside) I believe 'they've never left... and I dont mean Lizzard people.. cos' that is funny.
“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.”

Why am I not scared then?
Ignorance is blind.
"Ignorance is blind."

We are alone - what is there to fear?
There are aliens - in all probability we will never encounter them - what is there to fear?
The Reaper... don't be afraid they're not coming to take you away.

If we are the only spec of dust in the whole Universe going around our Sun that can support life don't you find that a little bit sad and yet fascinating.
