So, as I posted last week I paid for a big bouquet to be delivered thru Eflorist that day. Money was taken out of bank instantly. Flowers never arrived. Tried for days to contact them. You cannot get thru by phone - it’s permanently engaged (yet they tell me they don’t even have a phone number!), their website LIVE CHAT isn’t actually a person, just a set of repeated automated questions which go nowhere, emails get the same response to every one -‘ we will contact you within 2 working days’, which they never do. The final email I sent was the only one I got a reply from an actual person. I said if I wasn’t contacted that day telling me which florist they booked so I could ring them myself then I was ringing Trading Standards. I finally get a reply from an actually person saying they couldn’t tell me that ‘due to Data Protection’. Seriously!?? So I finally replied saying why couldn’t they themselves simply ring this florist and ask what’s happened? Or else just refund me. It would take 5 mins. Never heard back.....
Do I simply accept that I’ve been completely ripped off and will never see this money again?? (It was £42 btw)

your contract was with the florist though? It was with e florist and they are the ones who should be refunding you? Like interflora?
You say the money was taken out of your bank. Does that mean you paid with a debit card? Or was it a credit card?

I paid thru eflorist via debit card and yes they should refund me but I wanted florists number to ring and see if they ever really had a booking for me.
Take it further. If it happened to you, it very easily can happen again.
They're probably getting away with it no matter what the cost is.
Stick with interflora next time at an independant florist. Everyone knows and trusts interflora.

It was just a spur of the moment booking - my MIL sounded so upset on the phone that I quickly googled florists in her town and eflorist kept coming up. Reviews were all 5 star so I assumed were safe.
Smow, they are on Facebook and there also is an eflorist complaints group - have a look and regrettably you will see you are not their only disgruntled customer by a long chalk.
Question Author
Oh god really!? So if I want to take this further who is best to take this to??
Problem is once they have a bad name on Social Media they have no incentive to redress your complaint. I would try your bank -although it was paid for by debit they may beable to do something.

Worth a try - look at the nearest florists in your MIL's area and give them all a call - eflorist (and all other online florists) always use local florists to make up the bouquets.
I don't see any mileage in giving local florists a call - they'll just deny they are the ones who took the order from Eflorist.

Am so cross with myself for using them!
Sorry, Smow, busy with getting dinner in the oven. I would post on eflorist's Facebook page first and see if there is any reply. Then I would go on the other one.
Smow, my friend sent me a bouquet recently -they were delivered promptly but I had to tell my friend that the flowers she sent me were nothing more than head drooping wilting weeds and nothing like what she thought she had bought from online - she emailed them to no response but they did ask her to send a testimonial, then it popped up on my insta stories (an advert) well, my friend and I stripped them bare and left nothing unsaid - they contacted her the next day, offered her a refund as I didn't want another bouquet from them. Money was back in my friends a/c that evening and the advert we commented on was removed from Insta
I forgot to add, it was that company you are having issues with

Choux I’m going to look on FB now. Ducksie that doesn’t surprise me after my experience - will see what I can post x
That is a shame, ducksie. Glad the money was refunded.

Smow, for future occasions I would source a florist near to your MIL and contact them direct to ask if they will accept a telephone order from you and your card details. I have done this for a florist in Ireland and it works well. I also visit the florist when I am over there and give her more orders. I get a very personal service that way.
Go to their profile @eFloristflowers on Twitter. Click on 'tweets and replies'. It looks like they do respond to complaints on there.
Only ever had one problem with M and S flower delivery. Arrived damaged , courier saw this and took back. Upgraded replacement arrived next day. All their other flower deliveries excellent
You could claim a refund from your bank if something goes wrong when you spend with your debit card. Just have all correspondence from the florest as I think the bank may look for proof that you tried to resolve the problem with them.
My daughter ordered flowers for the MIL for Mothering Sunday, a few days later she got an email from the company saying her account had been refunded as they had had a lot of complaints and were refunding everyone! When she checked with the MIL she was told that the flowers hadn't been very good but hadn't wanted to say anything.
