There are wireless computer key boards that have 14 multimedia keys, which gives one instant access to one's favourite multimedia options, music, internet, e-mail, volume, etc.

Does anyone know how these keys work and what happens when one presses them?

I'd guess that the keyboard driver has settings where you assign different functions. Worth having a look to see.
