Hi all,
Here's our new thread for August - previous thread is here: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Weight-Loss-and-Dieting/Question1557914.html

How is everyone getting on? My partner and I have started going for a walk every Sunday morning, weather permitting - eventually we will work our way up to running!

I have been talked into doing a sponsored swim in September! Best I get some training in!!
## Why, weather permitting ? ##

Theres nothing better than, 'Just a walking in the rain', which brings back so many memory's to me!
Get a dog and walk *every* day...good for your health, and well-being.
Good idea. With no dog and no son around, I haven't been for a decent walk in ages. I keep meaning to go out on my bike as well. Must get going again.
What if you're at work all day?
Borrow a dog and walk that!
I know plenty of people who work all day, yet still walk their dogs...on the days I work, it's a short quick walk am, and a nice long one in the evening.
Islay, your sponsored swim - is it for a charity that I could donate to please?
Alba it is it's to help a neutering scheme in Serbia. I will pop up all the details and information closer to the time thanks xx
thanks Islay xx
I like hot dogs, but it's such a walk to the burger van. I get distracted by the Skinner's Arms.
Thanks Ed. Hope to see all tomorrow.
Thanks too ed for keeping our post going . We welcome all new people . We don't judge or tell you what to do .xstitcher and I started this must be nearly 4 to 5 years now for people's ideas of how they lost their weight . We don't talk about diets it is healthy eating .as diets don't work for everyone
Ed - come running with me! Me and my pooch try and run 15km a week, normally over 3 runs.
Good morning all. :-)) I'm down two pounds again. I'm taking some dire steps. I've made an appointment with an authorised dietician who works at the local health center just 4 minutes away from me. I just had my 77th birthday and decided that it's now or never. I so want to get a healthy BMI. I eat the right things so I just need some "tools" about how to eat them. Fingers crossed.
The photo is where I go for my walks which is just down the street. All the best with your weigh ins.
Well done x.

Re the eating tools, I use a pronged implement called a "fork", it allows me to eat as I can pick the food up with it and transfer it to this hole I have in my face. Well, it works for me ;-)
Ah go on with you OG.
Well done xstitcher .i have lost just a little over 1lb and I know that is due to no cakes or choc .yes OG but sometimes it is the wrong things that go on the fork .i should know better .
Not a happy bunny.
Due to an unexpected rise of 1.4 lbs over the last 24 hours, my anticipated drop for the week has turned into a rise of 0.4 lbs :-(
Well OG I was told by the dietician today that our weight goes up and down all day long. I was weighing less on her scales than I did at home before I ate and nuddy (at home).
