Interesting article on a new development in artificial limbs, offering a degree of sensory feedback to the patient from the artificial limb for the first time that I am aware of.

LoL - Quite like the term decapacitated :) Better than "Bobbited" any day of the week :)
Remember the Six Million Dollar Man from the 70's TV series.

Wouldn't go far now would it?
Question Author
@beso No, it wouldn't, although I wonder what 6 million dollars then would represent now, taking inflation into account ;)

Probably still not enough to pay for a finger, let alone a hand/arm with sensory feedback! :)
Sorry for the late post here but I do remember a TV news article about a year ago regarding an 'exo-skeleton' which enabled a man to walk and cost only around £10k! Not a fortune, although could have far reaching consequences!

Exoskeletons that would help paraplegics and those lacking function in limbs and what have you would be an excellent development, Mattheous, and as you say, probably a lot cheaper than this device we are talking about! ;)
It's just a matter of time. 100 years from now someone doing research into the early 21st century might find this and laugh a lot. Just over 100 years ago, there were no aeroplanes. The advances in medicine are truly astonishing.
