are you sure the '2' isn't supposed to be a 's' meaning 60cm per second? Even then, it still doesn't make sense to me. Math is not my strongpoint, especially not this time of the morning.
force= mass x acceleration. Now do it.
0.6m/s² is what the question intends
So you have a 15kg bike with an accleration of 0.6m/s² ...... what's the question ??
The question must be to calculate the force.
The formula must be in your book- it's one of the most basic ones of Newtonian mechanics. Look up Newton's Second Law (F=ma). You have the information you need to work out F. You don't even need a calculator
Am I missing something - surely you would need to know the mass of the rider on it as well ?
(...or is this an ultra-light rider on an ultra-light bike...)
Good point- maybe the question says " suppose Bradley falls off and the bike mysteriously continues to accelerate ...."
Either that or the bike is in free fall on Pluto.
