Is there any reason in the future why a similar balloon as yesterdays spacejump couldn't have a larger balloon and thrusters to go to the moon?

It would work out a lot cheaper and safer wouldn't it?

Will this pave a new way to travel to space ( Even though it's not particularly new )

What are the possibilities?

OK the "balloon into space" idea as originally presented is a non-starter but the basic premise of a lighter-than-air first stage has already been tried - google "rockoon". Limited to date to sounding rockets, at least two teams are working on orbital and lunar objectives as we speak. Whether they're wise is another matter....!
The Space Elevator is the way of the future..... and always will be.
