Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

riddle in die hard for a vengeance

ok heres one for yer. die hard with a vengeance. the two guys have 2 water bottles. one holds 3 gallons and the other 5 gallons.the task is to use the bottles to get exactly 4 gallons of water .how can this be achieved cuz i aint got a clue and its doin my nut in. cheers

Fill the 3 gallon bottle, and pour it into the 5 gallon one. Refill the 3 gallon and pour into the 5 gallon until full. This leaves one gallon in the 3 gallon bottle. Empty the 5 gallon bottle and empty the 3 gallon bottle into the 5 gallon bottle. This now holds one gallon. Fill the 3 gallon bottle again, and pour into the 5 gallon bottle. You now have 4 gallons in the 5 gallon bottle.

Fill the 5, pour into the 3. You have 2 left in the 5.
Empty the 3, pour in the other 2 from the 5.
Fill the 5.Pour 1 more into the 3 and voila - you have 4 in the 5.
