Why has the upmarket restaurant in Coronation Street been changed?   For quite a few years, the monied folk like Mike Baldwin went to Delfines but now the in-place is The Clock.  I would like to think that the reason is someone actually had the initiative to open a place called Delfines - can any good people around Manchester area comment.

I'm originally from Manchester and don't recall one called Delfines and checking with www.yell.com there are NO restuarants called that. Though out of the 112 listed there are 26 called 'McDonalds'. Maybe they're named after Liz & Steve :)

I think the Restaurant that was used as Delphines was the Old Pint Pot in Salford. Don't know why it's not used anymore though.
