There's an open day at a wildlife centre for african animals, for jobs there, tomorrow and I want to go, and I can get a ride there.

But, what should I expect and what should I wear? And any other sensible advice especially from people who've done similar things before would be welcome.

Was there any indication of the type of jobs available? Can you find out anymore online?

I'dimagine it to be friendly and welcoming. People in the roles will be there to answer questions and you'd be able to ask about the work once you're there. I expect there will be a place to sit and fill in an application form and a person from HR to chat to too.

If you're hoping to work with the animals go dressed in jeans and warm outdoor clothes that you'd be happy to muck out in.. If you're more interested in admin/marketing or management then best to wear smarter clothes.

Sounds really exciting - good luck whatever you decide

All kinds of jobs from catering to cleaning to caring for the animals.

But i want to be a amrine biologist so i'd like a job with the animals even if they're not aquatic it's experience . . .
Where is this centre, and what staff are they looking for?

Well I hope that they do not try any monkey business with you, and do not be lion about your age.
Question Author
it's about 3 miles away. Like i jsut said, all kinds of staff . . .

*Groan*
only African animals? That's unusual,
-- answer removed --
Don't automatically expect to be allowed near anything classed as a 'wild animal'.

Wear wellies, and clothing you don't mind getting poo on.

Take a change of clothes, in case your 'ride' doesn't want Gorilla Sugar on their seats.
Why are you groaning?
african animals. wear suit of armour !
If it is Africa Alive they are saying there are no jobs working with animals.
Question Author
yes dotty only african animals but last time i went I'm sure there were aquatic animals there . . .

Helen, the advert was in the paper . . .

*sigh* @ naz.

at johnny's puns.

They're in enclosures anne!
If it's Africa Alive they say you have to be 18. Check before you make the trip.
Again - why are you sighing and groaning?
