After the slight fiasco of last weekend, rescued by my good friend Gen2 in crofter’s absence overseas, I can only hope that I fare better when posting the MM Links tomorrow morning. However I think I have put a back up rescue plan in place.
Week 1 supplied quite a lot of points with Aquagility and grannydi in joint first place but with grannydi as the “hot shot”. But with many hot on their heels so there is plenty to play for. So go for it!
The game, as usual and with a fair wind, will kick off tomorrow at 08.45am and the four words to be linked should be posted at 9.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember ~ early MM hits gain bonus points!

Remember, as ever, to look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely, the Australian clocks having already moved on for their summer). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from South Australia is my and your good friend, “seekeerz”. She is, we are all agreed, truly the “Wizard-ess of Oz”.
As you may have gathered, as both poster and scorer. I am flying solo this weekend. So good luck to you and to me!! Next week, service is back to normal with crofter adjudicating.

Meanwhile in the Shrubbery I can hear rustling – is it Pauline tenderising a rump, is it Kay being coy about her antics in the Doll’s house or are YOU preparing to confess what you are up to on this October evening?

Stir the pot you harpies - I will be watching.

Meanwhile I expect sarumite is out collecting fungi for your delectation and delusions.

Get the bus on the move.

i am here tonight, but will flitting in and out,as I am playing Scrabble too. I will just perch on my chair and wait for Pauline !!!!
Evening all...just finished packing as I am going away for a week on Sunday morning, and I want a nice quiet day tomorrow. I hate doing it all on the last minute, although I normally do!
I shall have to get lots of points tomorrow to put me well ahead. :-))
Hi Kay...

When is my holiday in Lichfield booked in for....

Pauline, don't forget to check that your free bus pass is up to date and that the photo still looks like you, after all it has been some years since it was first issued.
You're not joking there Strix!! My passport photo is only about 7 years old...it must have been a bad 7 years!! Still nowhere near my bus pass yet though...
Evening all. I'll be late posting my two-pennorth tomorrow as I@m off to London on the early train; daughter has a stall at the Knitting and Stitching exhibition at Alexandra Palace, so I'm taking the opportunity to go and stock up with holly leaves and berries (ready for this year's knitted Christmas puddings).
Have a great day tearinghair...sounds good.
Please don't mention THAT word....the 'C' word just yet!!
Go for it Strix - You won't get caught by the same problem two weeks running will you?

I'll be there if I can at 8:45, but mobile access is a little hit'n'miss here - got cut off this morning after about 3 or 4 minutes.

Who is left in charge of the dungeon when Pauline goes on holiday? Who is looking after 'S'? Or did he manage to escape? Can Reg survive on his own? Is he allowed to?

So many questions - so few answers.
Sorry, Pauline, it just slipped out. Perhaps I should have said 'Winterval puddings'.....but it's those funny round things knitted in dark brown and cream DK wool that can be used to fool people into taking a mouthful of fluff after lunch on December 25th!

Reg on his own and free-range?
Can you imagine?
Charity bicycle in the sitting room with its gears being stripped down and oiled.
One of the empty Chinese take-away tinfoil trays on the carpet underneath to catch the oily drips. The other trays piled up waiting in front of the fireplace along with the crumpled beer cans to be taken out and hidden before Pauline returns.
BUT can you imagine the ruckus if Pauline returned unexpectedly early.!!
Would register on the Richter scale!!
Sarumite escaped last weekend gen2...although I tried to keep him locked up for a bit longer!
Reg is coming on holiday with me...who else would carry my bags or rub my sun cream in? :-))

The girls have all the take away menu's out ready...
Strix...do you honestly think I would let Reg stay at home doing as he likes in my absence!! :-))
tearinghair...my eldest daughter takes great delight in giving me the countdown to the dreaded day from about August onwards!! :-(
Good evening, kidz. Enjoy yourselves in the shrubbery, but be sure to be home by midnight.
Me, I'm off to bed for an early night, so as to be ready strixtly on time in the morning.
Lets hope Strix is!! Trust him to try and overload the system last week!
Good evening all......I don't mind if Strix is late in the morning as I'll be around at my usual time, about 1:00 a.m.!

Pauline, are you going away on one of these flights?....

Evening all .. I managed to escape from the Stockpot earlier this week and have now made it back to the South, despite Pauline's efforts to waylay me!!

... and Reg has to accompany Pauline on her hols to make sure she doesn't get lost ... after all it's a well known fact that the fair sex are lousy map-readers! lol
I'm with you on that one, sarumite (personally, that is, not on behalf of the whole of womankind). I can only navigate from north to south if I turn the map upside down Actually I used to have an upside-down road atlas, which was very useful....
