have been trying to find who this song is by and whats it called ,it was prob 80s i thought could have been cameo but have trailed through all their stuff sure was black guy bit soul/jazz went like this ..........."i'm standing right here to say that i love you even more each day " (and later )"and i love you and i will always stay"........................................

Can you post at least one phrase EXACTLY word for word accurate? I have tried all possibilities and permutations and it's not bringing up anything.
My success rate with *accurate* lyric searches is normally 90%
