Welcome to the fourth and final week in the reign of “Prince Philip” (aka centrino) to complete my month as the MM Links Setter – and hasn’t time flown? I only hope that I can get you back into the points. Last week’s theme based on holidays was a bit premature – unless you’re planning to go skiing! One of problems of having a break is what we face on your return.
After my holiday adventures of 1993, disaster struck with the sudden death of my mother and I was left to fend for myself. A number of changes were to follow. For example, Sundays became a welcome event as I had a standing invitation to have Sunday lunch at my sister’s home. This arrangement was particular welcomed by my brother-in-law as we always went to the local for a pre-lunch drink on the understanding that we washed up afterwards!

Eventually, I developed an entirely new routine and soon found that could be self-sufficient, when needs be. I soon decided to “down size” and moved from the village into the town centre, where I made new friends. Living in the town centre certainly opened up new opportunities for me. I could even walk to work (which improved my physical fitness), local services were more accessible and public transport operated much later into the evenings.
Please note that as far as my final MM Links are concerned, I shall follow the rule on word length adopted by crofter. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will disclose my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
My final set of four words to have their links predicted will appear below at 9.00am.
