hi mamma. you only want a clue not the answer, right?
Dont really know how to make a clue for this. It is not too difficult to find if you google what you do know. It is quite a well known wine.
sauternes?
I was just thinking the same grasscarp, about giving a clue that is!

mamma type into google "sweet white table wine of Gironde" then do a bit of reading. That should get you there. Good luck
i googled the question and the answer just came up. Easy peasy

thanks very much all of you for your help, just going to follow your advice and see how i get on.
Is sauternes a CLUE? Or is it the answer repeated twice.
It's the answer. Tolerance Tallulah : o )
OK grasscarp. mamma did ask for a CLUE and it's none of my business as I don't do learnburn!
I just like to retain the knowledge gained!!!
Me too Tallulah. I often get side tracked when googling to help other people. Such a wealth of info to be found, and I find myself reading masses of stuff. I suppose if everyone was adept at googling there wouldnt be many posts on here!
