the area is 200 cm squared
Give the complete question again - sorry dont understand.
Question Author
it says find the diameter of a circle when the area is 200cm squared
Question Author
is dat okay
Area = pi x r x r
so 200 = 3.142 x r x r
200 divided by 3.142 = r x r
63.65 = r x r
then you need the square root of 63.65 for the radius
this is 7.98
now double this to get the diameter!
kayakamina in what way is osman unacceptable?

If the area of a circle is pi x r x so A = pi x r x r

then the radius is the square root of the area divided by pi.

so r = square root of (A/pi) or

square root of 200/3.141592

or about 7.97cm
