I have read as many books as there are published from the above authors and I have been highly impressed. Now that I have read their books I have been left with a gap to fill until more are published. Can anyone suggest any books that are similar to the ones these above mentioned wonderful authors have written.

I've never heard of these authors - maybe you could tell us what sort of genre they are or if it's a style of writing and we could help?
Question Author
They both write fiction base mainly on womens role during world war 2 and also the womens family. Maureen Lee's books are based in Liverpool, while Lilian Harry's are base in the Posrtsmouth/Gosport area.
Ah - in that case have you tried amazon? If you go to the books section and search for maurren lee and click on one of the titles they give you a list of what other people who bought that book also bought (if that makes sense!). For instance this is what happened when i clicked on Queen of the Mersey: Customers who bought this item also bought: Lime Street Blues; Paperback ~ Maureen Lee The Beachcomber; Paperback ~ Josephine Cox The Sixth Lamentation; Paperback ~ William Brodrick Making Hay; Paperback ~ Veronica Henry The House by Princes Park; Paperback ~ Maureen Lee. Maybe these are other authors you could try - I also think Birdsong by Sebastien Faulks is set around that time... hope that helps.
Betty Burton's early books (particularly "Goodbye Picadilly") may be of interest, and Lilian Harry used to write under her real name of Donna Baker. These have been unavailable for a while, but I recently saw a load in one of those "Bargain Bookshop" places, so you may have some luck. P.S. Used to manage a bookshop in the Portsmouth area, and had LH in many times to sign her books - she's a thoroughly nice lady!
