Thanks Roger9. I'm trying to find a 19th -20th century American pathologist who first identified a chronic inflammatory disease of the lower intestinal tract. I don't think Crohn fits the bill if he wasn't a pathologist.
Crohn was indeed a pathologist. Pathologists are people who study disease and are not just people who determine cause of death. However, Crohn doesn't fit because he wasn't the first to define the disease. A Polish medic beat Crohn by 20 years.
