Thanks for help yesterday. Still 2 to go.
1d Out of the question for a Scotsman at this time! (4) n - - -. (This may refer to something topical at the time!)
9ac Deliveries to bodies of men which attract interest (10) - - e - - - a - t -. Overdrafts was suggested yesterday but will not fit in with 3d.
3d Promises of jobs (13) u - - - r - a - i - n - . Overdrafts would make the 3rd letter of this word 'd' and the 3rd letter of 1d 'o'. I cannot find any words to fit with these letters. Any help very gratefully received. Thsnk you.

1d No on
3d undertakings? - not sure from your question whether the answer's 12 or 13 letters
Question Author
Thank you both. Those two words certainly fit the other letters and would fit with overdrafts. I'm obviously not very bright as I cannot really see much connection to the clues, but I am sure they are right

One other I am not sure about is: Doubly an upstanding Parisienne? (4) It must be either 'mimi' or 'fifi'. What do you think?
Nana .
Question Author
No, sorry, the second and fourth letters are both i.
On the basis of "an" being old word for "if" ( ifs and ans ) I would go for Fifi . But I still prefer Nana .
