I'm back! Having managed t he last three on my own I'm really stuck on this one and would welcome some help.

Thanks. 1ac and 12 ac fit ok but overdraft seems to make 3d impossible. Will put it in again as this will be a long way back now.
In cricket, an 'over' is a series of deliveries of the ball to the batsmen and this is a standard form in crossword clues. A 'draft' is a body of men, especially in the military sense. Together, as 'overdraft', the new word means a facility to borrow money for a period from a bank. Such borrowing obviously 'attracts interest'.
I'd be pretty astonished if that answer was wrong, but I hope you managed to get the answer to 3D elsewhere, Lottie. Cheers

Yes, quizmaster, you were right , of course. I had another answer wrong which was throwing me off, because in my ignnorance I had never heard of 'swingletrees'. Live and learn! Thanks for your help.
