This is gen2 here to set the link words for June. It nearly didn't happen because I was away last weekend for a wedding but I am back now with a selection of four link words to tease you with. My thanks to everyone who offered congratulations last weekend.
I have followed the same rules as before on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you'll be wasting one of your attempts!
The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules of awarding points that have been applied during the MM Link Games in the past.
My first set of four words should appear below at 9.00am and you are invited to predict what I have chosen as the missing links. There is as usual a theme to the four words I will post but there is NO theme to the words I have chosen to go with them, so anything goes.
Hi Gen2, thanks for the alert. I meant to put an "S" on the hog to make it four letters Please can that be altered
so my word can be HOGS. Thanks very much.
Elspeth - you seem to make a habit of ignoring the rules - answers have to be between 4 and 8 letters. If you don't offer something else instead of 'consecrated', you're wasting one of your attempts.
Thanks for picking up on that Foxlee. If you don't mind, I think I shall repeat your post in the hope that the yellow background will draw Elspeth's attention to it.

Sorry, I didn't think I made a habit of overstepping the mark as it were. Thanks foxlee for pointing that out to me - I shall be much more careful in future. If I may, gen 2, I shall change consecrated to sacred.
Thanks gen 2 for a fantastic choice of words: usually by the time I get to make my choices all the sensible options have already been spoken for, but today I've had no trouble finding 4 original and not even obscure links, with several equally sensible alternatives available to me.
I was very tempted by Cherry Hinton ( pace Rupert Brooke) but after Crofter talked Aquagility out of tectonic plate last month I wouldn't dare!
