Name of the maid in The Forsyte Saga

I saw the modern BBC remake of The Forsyte Saga on TV, and I was wondering what the maid's first name is (the character, not the actress) -- Soames's and Irene's only maid, when they were married and living together. It sounded like they were calling her 'Wilson', but that can't be right!! Does anyone know what her name really is? (I loved her character!) Thank you!!!

Although I don't know the name of the character in the Forsyte Sage - I do know that most household staff were known by their surnames. In fact a lot of households 'christened' their staff with a name that was not their own, so the 'family' didn't have to bother learning a new name everytime there was a new/different servant. A great-aunt of mine was 'in service' in London and although her surname was Morgan she was known as 'Stevens' as were the two previous minions!!
