Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

So I did the quiz but where do I find the results...

I did the Independent's recent and pretty challenging 'How good is your English?' quiz, but, not having been notified as a winner, where do I go for the results?

Do you ever get the feeling -in the light of the expose of TV game show cheating -some of these thousands of quizzes out there maybe never have winners? Certainly, whilst they're keen to hype their competitions, finding the results and prize-winners can be like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack!

I did it and haven't heard either. However, I did a competition in a magazine - it closed on 2 March and I had an email last Thursday (15 March) to say I'd won. I suppose things can take time.

I do most of the independent comps and have never seen the answers or a list of winners published. However, I can confirm that people do actually win - I did the Quizathon comp last year and won a LCD TV (they took several weeks longer than the time advertised in the Ts & Cs to contact me to tell me I'd won). And just before Christmas I won �100 of Play.com vouchers (which was very handy for xmas presents)!

Thanks very much for the responses -that's reassuring. I do wish, however, they (here meaning 'The Independent') would give more prominence to both answers and winners -at least on their website. Basically, I'd like to know if I was right!
