to lizzieanrob I got the quiz from my local oxfam shop a lady in bakewell had it off someone who had some spare as she was unable to do one this year
the closing date is in a few days or else I would have sent you one

2nd one. QUEENSLAND = Queens College + Land(country). I can get my own answers on 3rd January 2007.

Your little old woman will need written permission from Dr Edmund Marshall (who constructed the original quiz) to be able to use his Quiz - otherwise she could fall foul of the copyright laws.

tiffy I'll have all the answers in a couple of days. Don't send the Quiz off until you are 100% sure.

I hoped that Dr Marshall had OKed the use of his Quiz. He's an ex-colleague of mine and a really nice person!

His Quizzes are always "top notch".
Lizzienrob This same setter has another Quiz on the go called LITERARY CHARACTERS that's due in on 14 April 2007.

Copies of the Quiz are available from Mrs M Marshall, 14 Belgravia Road, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 3JP

I think you only need to pay 1 when your post your completed entry off
tiffy Of your unanswered questions, there's yet ANOTHER starting with the letter "i".

For the first one AGM =annual general meeting
and paper is measured in QUIREs. Try to sort that one out!

For the other clue, start with LIZARD as your reptile.

For a quick check: How many i-type answers do you have on the first two pages (1 - 35), on the next two pages (36 - 77) and on the rest of the quiz (78 - 100)? You should have 8, 13 and 4 respectively.
Question Author
to crofter many thanks for your help i think i now have the right amount of answers they match yours

i have nt been able to solve the last two yet no. 48 and no. 88 im a little unsure about no 45 country doctor amid trunk road with street map back to front
i ve got zambia for the answer
am i on the right track?

the lady who has done the quiz has put a note on the back thanking dr. marshal for allowing her to use his surplus quizzes tiffy
Question Author
to crofter just to let you know no 48 is it quagmire? all i can get for the other is zards which sounds odd
tiffy
-- answer removed --
"yes" to your Q48 - and for Q88 look up IZARD. This is going to throw your total out for I-type answers!

Also ZAMBIA Is correct. Doctor = BM (bachelor of medicine) Trunk Road = A1 and Street Map = A-Z
Put them together gives A1 BM AZ
Reverse gives ZAMBIA

One of your I-type answers must be wrong - come back to me on this!
How many E's do you have in Q19?
