Trapezium (British) has one pair of parallel sides and is the eqivalent of a trapezoid (American). An American trapezium has no parallel sides.

Confused! The British and Americans - divided by a common language!
trapezium - british - a quadrilateral having 2 parallel sides of unequal length.
trapezoid - american name for a trapezium.
trapezium - american - a quadrilateral having neither pair of sides parallel.
