I think that we've stolen some of your weather, Steff. It's the driest spring here since 1852, with only a few light rain showers forecast between now and the end of the month. So there's already talk of possible hosepipe bans in the summer:

I'm not too bad for an old 'un, thanks, although I've been scheduled for another course of chemo soon 😒.
I hope that you're well too.
The feline threesome are as lovely, loyal and annoying as ever. After her adventures last year (when she managed to survive for a fortnight without food), Tablo never wants to leave me. If I walk the 400 metres to our local community centre (to make use of the bar), she follows me there and then sits in the car park, waiting for me, until it's time for me to leave. She then trots alongside as I walk home. Halfway back, Moonbeam will do his impression of a cheetah and rush up to greet me, so that I'll then have two feline companions on my walk. As I get near to my house, Chequers will appear, with his "Where the hell have you been?" look on his face. They're the most loyal cats that I've ever known!
I never think of the UK being short of rain, I'm just *** off with the east coast snoffling all ours, QLD is still underwater by all accounts and Lake Eyre is filling - lovely for the birds, not so good for us 🤬
I love that 'where the hell have you been' look, coupled with ' do you know what the time is' ? Dogs can't achieve it, they just look hurt, but cats are masters of the insulted expression !! Ziggi has discovered that our bathroom acts like an echo chamber and when he's really annoyed, he goes in there and yodels, mainly at night ....I defy anyone to sleep thru that !! Wouldn't be without him, though.
Ziggi sounds lovely!
(Can we have some piccies, please?)
Chequers is my 'alarm cat'. He wakes me every morning at between 4am and 6am, demanding to be fed. (Note the wording there carefully. He doesn't simply "demand food", he demands "to be fed". Even if he's got several full bowls of food already available to him, I'm still expected to get up and feed him!).
Oh well, it's ten past four in the morning here. So I'd better go to bed, even though I know that the 'alarm cat' will go off very soon anyway 🐱 ⏰ 😊
