Damn hypocritical savages - I hope Boris calls a a GE asap. Let's see what the country thinks. He's got nothing to lose & everything to gain.
interesting pair of letters. Javid seems concerned that the party lacks integrity and competence. Sunak thinks the public need to be told some economics home truths. Both think he's Got Brexit Done.

Lol. Graham Brady himself would stab Johnson through the heart before he’d let that happen!
Have you been drinking in the same bar as Pincher?
Graham who?
davebro: 'hypocritical savages'. Good grief. And Johnson can't 'call a general election'.

Johnson ally from mayor of London days calls for him to step down
Anthony Browne, an MP who was also an adviser to Boris Johnson during his time as the mayor of London, has written to 1922 Committee Chair Sir Graham Brady to call for the Prime minster to step down.
He said: "I have worked with the prime minister on and off for nearly two decades, since he was editor of the Spectator.
"I am the only one of his appointed advisers as mayor of London who now serves as a member of parliament.
"I pride myself on personal loyalty.
"But I am also profoundly loyal to my constituency, my party and my country.
"The repeated breaches of trust from Number 10 are seriously damaging the Conservative Party, the government, British democracy and the UK itself."
He finishes: "Trust in politics is incredibly important. I cannot with integrity stand silently by."

Here you are, I’ll help you through the minefield you’ve obviously meandered into.

No - he can't but if the Gov put forward the motion would anyone vote against?

Channel Four news just said that members of the local Tory Party in Tamworth 'have been told they can't comment to the media'. What a bunch of wimps. Surely they can say what they want to anyone they want.
Andrew Morrison MP, trade envoy, resigns.
The question now is, just HOW stubborn is BJ?
How stubborn was his hero - Winston?
// I hope Boris calls a a GE asap.//
complicated I know
but I really think that it would be case for the Monarch to refuse a dissolution....
on the grounds that there is a party majority in the commons and someone else can form a govt....

[little matter of the fixed term election act is STILL on the books, and SOOOOO the Monarch may graciously accept that the Turkey really are voting for christmas if they vote for a dissolution]

sozza to be so technical on carefree soaraway AB !
// Surely they can say what they want to anyone they want.//

Ladies can you PLEASE stop trying to scratch each other's eyes out?

The Tories of Tamworth may be forbidden to speak qua "The Tory Party at Tamworth"
( I like the 'qua' cute and borrissy innit?)
but can speak as individuals ( in personam, sui generis )

oh god I am going to have to buck up with the Latin ( ex google, of course). Soon, TTT will be able to complain justly, "why he use dat den?" = cur linguam latinam utet nunc
bugga - utitur, not utet - deponent verb
bit of an elenchus there readers !
As I have posted many times on this site – Boris is not a fit person to be placed in charge of the stationery cupboard, let alone the country.

It appears that not only have his fellow MPs come to realise this, but also his cabinet colleagues.

I don't think it is, Peter:
