After 3 years of never having a problem can someone suggest what's going wrong. Accessing my outlook (was hotmail) email on a Samsung tablet. For the last few days every time I go to the tab it's asking me to sign in. I'm not closing it down or anything. If I'm looking at it then move to the AB tab for example for 5 minutes then back to Hotmail I have to sign in. Doesn't happen on laptop.

I gave up on Hotmail many years ago, after I kept getting locked out of my accounts. If you're determined to stick with it though, at least access your account in the way that's best on Android devices, which is to use a dedicated app, rather than webmail. (When email was first invented, there was never any intention that anyone should be able to access it via a web browser. The idea was that people would use email clients, such as Outlook, Outlook Express or Thunderbird, on a PC. Although webmail can be handy, it will always be second best to doing things 'properly' with a dedicated email app).

So install the Microsoft Outlook app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook&hl=en_GB&;gl=US
and follow the instructions here:

Then you'll no longer be reliant on cookies on your web browser, enabling you to access your account far more easily.

I have to stick with it as it's the 'junk' email address I have registered with many online stores and purchases (as opposed to my personal email that I use for friends etc). I will look at downloading the app but no idea why this has started happening after years of no problem?
Is there a check box "remember me on this device" or something similar? If so check it, when you have put in your password, before signing in.
