2. ? Hornby
2. ? or Clapham
^^ Sorry, these places are in North Yorkshire.
Could be Standedge, West Yorkshire (tunnels where one could hear the boom of a train)?
Think you're correct with Clapham, Hazlinny. There is a village near Ingleborough in the western Dales.

Thought Standedge as there are three rail tunnels there + visitor centre - likely place to hear the boom. Finding these clues difficult!!

Hi Hazlinny and Captain2 Answer is Blea Moor - anagram of real boom, but many thanks for trying.
Did try to make something of real boom but could find nothing. Good answer. Thanks Barbie.
