I find it even more funny that you don't realise that "myself" is one word ;-)

What The Funicular are you on about?
\\I find it even more funny//.
That would be even funnier..
I agree with Nick.
Well not a time for party politics like that but she is embarrassing.
“We have opened a visa centre in Calais”
Well, it wasn’t open and it was miles away in Lille, but to hell with the details.
He's got a point. Patel has proven she's not fit for such a high office time and time again over the last few years.
All 13 out of 650 I bet she`s quaking in her boots
I think the PM should have followed Labour's lead and sacked PP (not the intelligent one!) when she was found guilty of bullying.
Yes, somewhat different outcomes for Bercow and Patel.

And how many times has Patel lied at the despatch box recently? She should not need to be fired, she should have resigned. Tory MP Sir Roger Gale is not impressed ...

Cultural differences.
Question Author
elipsis: "And how many times has Patel lied at the despatch box recently? " - can you give us an example?
Watch the video, TTT ...
Sorry Tora,
I normally don’t understand your posts because they are in some comedy cockeneese or absurd acroymns.
In this instance you are surely missing the point.
Every other European country realises that millions of Ukrainians have had to leave their country, and given them safe passage. In contrast, trying to enter the UK is blocked, even to relatives of Ukrainians who have lived here for decades.
Shameful, and shameful on the OP for even trying to defend it.
The OP seems to regard any call for humanity, decency or honesty as a joke. It's distressing that F's like the OP have got the nerve and lack of integrity to admit their common humanity.
On a more personal point. There is a Ukrainian Club/ cultural centre, near to my house. I go in there and know lots of Ukrainians, and drink with them.
They are appalled at Patel and the Government. Many of them would gladly give relatives refuge, but the Government are barring that.
Other than the above video, more examples at the despatch box ...

* When asked why people were being denied entry at Calais, she said “it’s wrong to say we are turning people back, we are absolutely not”. Yet we are.
* She told MPs “we have set up a bespoke VAC [Visa Application Centre] en route to Calais but away from the port”. We haven't.
* she denied elderly aunts of Ukrainians in the UK were being denied access to the country, even though that’s exactly what's happening

How many lies do you need?
In Parliament last Monday, Hansard shows she said, "In particular, I confirm that we have set up a bespoke VAC en route to Calais but away from the port because
we have to prevent that surge from taking place."

It also shows that when later challenged by Yvette Cooper about that claim, she said, "I think the right hon. Lady did not hear
what I said earlier. I said that I can confirm that we are setting up another VAC en route to Calais—I made that
quite clear in my remarks earlier on. I also said that it
would be away from the port in order to prevent the
surge that we do not want to take place."

She lied when she made the claim and then lied when claiming to have said something different.
I like a laugh but can't find the funny bit in that sorry.
What everyone seems to miss is that its not totally down to the Minister when failings occur.

The Home Office is full of incompetents. When Ms Patel tried to deal with it she was accused of bullying. Yes, she is forthright and wants the job done - now, but civil servants just dont want to work like that and can be extremely obstructive.

Start reducing the number of civil servants and make it so they have to obey the Government of the day and you might get somewhere.

But 'liberals' dont want that either do they?
what a prat!
