Germany have a third of their exports and imports with Russia, so they want to be paid.
The countries most in favour of banning Russia from SWIFT are the ones who do little or no business with Russian.
Sadly, our own Government having gained independence from the EU, could have showed leadership and slapped a SWIFT ban on Tuesday, but we didn’t.
Instead they are waiting until the EU does it, and then we will follow like a lost poodle

Yes he can. We are not in the EU, so we do not have to wait for Cyprus to agree, we can act independently.
