Camilla's popularity with the public is on the up. Should she, when the time comes, become Queen?

Personally, I think she's doing a good job so I would be happy to see her take her place beside Charles as his queen. What say you?

Yes, she has paid her dues, completed the course and passed with flying colours.

Yes, she has paid her dues, completed the course and passed with flying colours.
She will be queen as soon as Charles becomes king according to English law and precedent.
I wouldn’t mind at all but I think she’ll be Queen Consort because of her divorce ?
I think she’s behaved impeccably against all the bric-bats thrown at her as well

barry, from the link:

//At the time of her marriage to Charles, Clarence House revealed they had different plans for Camilla’s future title when Charles becomes king, which goes against the norm.

The palace said Camilla would be styled as "Princess Consort" when her husband takes the throne.//

bobbi, I think the wives of kings are always Queen consort.
Pity her behaviour wasn't impeccable when Chas was married to Diana.
but the husband of a queen isn't king consort, hence albert and philip being prince consorts.
Should I care?
the wife of a King is a Queen so yes.
"Princess Consort is a lesser title and an act of Parliament, ratified by the Commonwealth realms, would be needed for Camilla to be given it..."

bobbi: "I wouldn’t mind at all but I think she’ll be Queen Consort because of her divorce ? " - she'd always have been QC regardless.
The shenanigans over these people are totally irrelevant to our every day lives.
So why are you bothering to read this thread and comment, Hopkirk?
Absolutely she should. She so obviously makes him happy, they are always laughing together. She's doing an excellent job with all her charities and doesn't make it all about her unlike you know who.
Hoppy I don’t think this thread is for you anti royalists ?
//Pity her behaviour wasn't impeccable when Chas was married to Diana.//

If it isn't important enough to prevent him being King, why should it prevent her from being Queen?
Monarchy isn't supposed to work by a democratic vote of popularity. That's the point of it. So, yes, she should.
Care not a bit .
"/Pity her behaviour wasn't impeccable when Chas was married to Diana.// " - of course Diana didn't go through card did she! PMSL!
be nice if they said "we're not going on with this nonsense, we'll be Mr & Mrs Windsor"!
For some Charles irks them with his opinions on GM farming
Modern architecture and homeopathic medicine etc not to mention his marriage to Diana
I am not fussed either way
He is not a bad old stick

That said I would prefer him to abdicate immediately and hand over the reins to William

Time for the country to have a modern monarchy with an outlook that reflects as much

Charles will not have long in the job
Better to create a bit of longevity now by crowning William
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge look a solid foundation to steady the monarchy
