Omg The Rain!!

I’m watching TV and wondered what on earth the noise was - sounded as though there was a terrible leak and it was coming thru the ceiling - go to the window and look outside - I’ve never seen rain like it!! Our road has literally turned into a mini river!! Boat anyone??

Its been nice all day, now we have a nice drop of much needed rain
, thats because I spent ages yesterday topping up my pond because it had got so low. !!

Greater London - it just started out of nowhere - is easing already but still can’t believe just how noisy it was!!

it struck just as I was putting out the bins in NW London, Smow. I have been towelling myself. Not so noisy but we have two flats above us.

On The One Show tonight they were saying how important it is to have grass in your back garden to soak up and rain, rather then just turn it into a concrete jungle! I love my lawn, so do the birds!

funny, despite the headline the story doesn't actually say it's French, just that it will hit northern France too. From this map it looks home-grown - true Brexit rain, manufactured and delivered in the UK

Georgiesmum, we've got a garden but it's been so wet this year it's more like a swamp - the ground's so soft squirrels are constantly digging holes big enough to bury bodies in and I'm constantly fighting moss.

It was like a monsoon in Kingston this afternoon - it was hammering on the roof of John Lewis but the roads were dry when I got home. It's very localised

Georgiesmum my back garden is half artificial grass and half flagged.
The garden is on a bit of a slope down to the drain and so as soon as the rain stops, it soon dries up, no puddles and no soggy grass and my grandchildren can soon go out to play again.
