This quiz has only just come out and closing date is a long time in the future. If you do not want to ruin your own enjoyment, if you are doing it yourself, then please move on and don't scroll down.

I have solved 96 of the 100 clues and I don't want to wait 11 weeks to be put out of my misery! However I do want to get them myself, so clues only please. For question 40 though I should be pleased for a clue to the "parsing" also, as I think I have the answer but can't parse it.

If I have answered the others correctly, then ALL FOUR of these end with the letter "T". In addition just one of them starts with a T also. I do not know which of the four!

40. "The world needs love" from this instrument (7)
68. The courage that needs to go with a splash (8)
69.. He turns down pint in order to stay keen on rotation (6,9)
(This looks like it should be an anagram, but I can't solve it).
94.Right in leaving out passage in book (7)

In addition, I have an answer for this one, but I am doubtful it is correct as it requires an alternative spelling of the more usual one of 13 letters. Once again it ends in a "T"
97.His digs may well be in old housing (12).

Many thanks

39 is an anagram of C(carbon) + one word and means a cigar
Question Author
41 Member in this case refers to a limb
Unfortunately everybody seems to be ignoring my plea for help with 97!!
Maxymax can only think of ....excavatorist
Thanks mallyh. I can't actually see the word in Chambers or indeed either of my other 2 dictionaries. Maybe I am being too picky and it is egyptologist but not at all happy with that.

Not ignoring it Maxymax - I am in the same boat as you! I also am not keen on the answers already suggested for 97 but I haven't come up with anything different!
Thanks jj109. Frustrating to be just this one short and have to wait so long for the answer!
Hi JJ109. Re Q92 ......and could be a charter right away for international airline.
The clue you gave was anagram of 2 words minus r for right and answer was part of body that enables breathing and begins with T.
I anagrammed "A Charter" (minus an R) and got TRACHEA. Where does "international airline" come in.
It's not "international airline"....... its internal airline !
Hi JJ109. My humblest, down on my knees apologies re Q92. I suddenly realised my error at the same time as teacher1 pointed it out to me. I read the clue as "international airline" instead of "internal airline.
Re 97 I've spent way too much time on this and can't come up with anything better than archeologist. It fits the definition pretty well with digs, then archeo meaning old/ancient (https://www.thefreedictionary.com/archeo-) , and logis translating from french to mean lodging/housing. However I really don't see why they would use an alternative but way less often used spelling here, when they don't need to fit it to a crossword grid. I don't think Egyptologist fits the definition as closely so have decided to go for archeologist unless someone has a brainwave (in which case I'll be very happy!)
Sadly TomTT I'm brainwaved out too over 97. I just can't believe these compilers would use the less often spelling of archaeologist and also like you am not thrilled with egyptologist. Maybe digs refers to lodgings or comedians having a dig at the audience! Grrr
I still think it has something to do with 'well', otherwise why is it in the qn, but I can't come up with anything plausible
I agree elliemay1 but like you struggling to find anything suitable. Another sleepless night!
