Another tough one from the Challenge Quiz due to finish Friday week, I've googled etc. for ages to no avail. Any nudge/hint will be appreciated.

Question: 'This word is used in Yorkshire for something very small and also in Australia with a similar meaning but particularly about money. It was the name of a US soul singer who died at the end of the 20th century but who was in the news this year in the ‘me too’ area. Which word/name?'

Just cant think who the soul singer can be who died in late 1990s but was more recently mentioned in 'me too'.
Possible soul singers Curtis Mayfield, Sony Bono (not really soul), Harold Melvin, Jermaine Stewart (did'nt know he died), Lawrence Payton (4 Tops)
Anyone?
Maybe dannyk13 knows the Yorkshire word for something very small

Maybe the
"It was the name of a US soul singer who died at the end of the 20th century but who was in the news this year in the ‘me too’ area"
is a trick question. Maybe the dead soul singer shared the same name as someone in the 'me too' area
Nope. I've asked around and nobody knows a Yorkshire word for small.
Sorry can't really help. The Yorkdhire dialect word for very is reet.
reet petite- jackie wilson???
Well done, Bob!
reet petite does mean very small but this line of thinking only work's if the clue should say name OF A SONG
Jackie Wilson was accused by Patti Labelle of 'me too' violence (alledgely) so he could be the one there meaning.
I also had a fiddle with this one but didn't get that far. Trey is a slang Australian word for thruppence and Trey Songz is a US soul/hiphop singer who was accused of sexual assault/misconduct. But he's still alive and 'trey' doesn't seem to have anything to do with Yorkshire either :-(
We have a different answer to Reet Petit. Note question says one word and there is an update in chatter you need to send
Q119 Insert at the start of the 2nd sentence “with a change of the 2nd letter”.
Thanks. It would help if someone could give the exact amended clue then.
I'm afraid am confused by "there is an update in chatter you need to send"- sounds gobblydigook to me
I'm guessing that there's a website for the quiz where there's also a 'chat' section.
Thanks M.
Will wait for Ramires7 to post corrected exact question before spending any more time on it

'This word is used in Yorkshire for something very small and also in Australia with a similar meaning but particularly about money. With a change of the 2nd letter it was the name of a US soul singer who died at the end of the 20th century but who was in the news this year in the ‘me too’ area. Which word/name?'. This apparently is the revised question. The singer died in 1999. I think I've got it - after a lot more googling! The help has been appreciated. But as the quiz has not finished I can't give a 'spoiler alert'.
Only death's I can think off were curtis mayfield and gwen guthrie but cant see any more links for them
Is it skerrick?
Never heard of it myself but:-
Skerrick - a small fragment or amount (esp in the phrase not a skerrick) Collins English Dictionary. Copyright © HarperCollins Publishers. Word origin. C20: northern English dialect, probably of Scandinavian origin.
And the snger:-
//Sherrick (July 6, 1957 – January 22, 1999) was an American soul singer and musician.//
