The first one is said as it’s written,Siobhan is said as ‘Shivon’and Niamh is said as Naima, all beautiful names in my humble opinion
First one is His - larne - a

Last one is Neeve

Middle one I have heard pronounced in many ways.
Third name is pronounced "Neev".
If the first one was to be abbreviated, I’d say Laine probably
My friends granddaughter is Niamh and she gets Naima
I have known lots of Irish called Niamh, all pronounced Neeve (or Neev) My son in laws daughter from first marriage is included in that (Son in law is Irish).
For the first one just listen to the News on anything from Ms Maxwell - there's plenty of it on the 'net'

They are proper Irish names, Niamh is definitely pronounced 'Neeve'.
My sister in law is Irish and her sister is Niamh :) I think it is a beautiful name.
Siobhan was quite common for a while in the 80s with non-Irish parents and I have seen it spelt in all sorts of weird ways such as Shevon, Shovarn.
Bobbi, do your friend's grandchild's parents have any Irish connection at all?
I always pronounced Siobhan as "She-vorn".

Nowt wrong with the names. I love Irish names & was hoping my son would choose one, but no.
Ghislaine is of french origin, the other two, irish. Siobhan and Niamh are quite common.

Roo we met a lovely southern Irish family many years ago in Bulgaria , their daughter was called Aoife
when the old graudster was alive we all said - Jeez-layne

I like Niamh - - as knee am huh - but it is not - Neev
punishes them for having a stupid name
